The Kumadvathi First Grade college one the branch of the Swamy Vivekananda Vidya Samsthe. This college is affiliated to Kuvempu University. It is approved by Govt. of Karnataka and has been conferred by UGC.  We take immense pride in the fact that we have been able to maintain ranking for the past few years.  This has been possible because of our highly committed and competent faculty, talent of our student pool, excellent infrastructure and above all a very clear goal set by the management.  The faculty at The Kumadvathi First Grade College is an active community of learners, who strongly believe that learning is not a onetime activity but a continuous process. They are highly passionate about imparting the best quality of education, stressing both on knowledge and values.  This ensures that graduating students are not only intellectually sound but also become socially responsible citizens.

The infrastructure offered by the college for all-round learning is amongst the best.  Apart from the well-equipped laboratories, ICT enabled classrooms, library and state-of the-art computer centre, the college have career guidance, placement and counseling centre. The centre guides students to suitable career and helps them cope with emotional problems. Over the years the college has received several grants such as from DST, SERB, Karnataka Forest Department, Karnataka Biodiversity Board and Government of Karnataka.  Several UG Science students have received grants to pursue innovative science projects under Science Projects in College Education scheme. A large number of students and faculty have presented papers at both National and International Conferences and many have published their work in research journals of repute.
